Da oggi e per tutti i mercoledì abbiamo deciso di dedicare il nostro piccolo spazio ad un Istagrammer. Non vi spiego chi sono, ma per chi non avesse proprio idea sono tutti coloro che utilizzano Istagr.am. Abbiamo da qualche mese un profilo su questa “piattaforma” e più di una volta sono usciti dei “wow”, oppure dei “oooooooh” e così via. Perciò eccoci! Cercheremo di dare spazio alle mamme Istagrammer, ma certamente non ci dimenticheremo neppure di papà, zii e amici.

Starting from now and for every Wednesday we’ve decided to dedicate our little space to an Istagrammer. Just for whom ignore and istagrammer is a person who use Istragr.am app, but most of you know what is it. We’ve a profile on this social tool since few month and more than once we’ve  said “wow” or “oooooh” and so on scrolling the pictures on the screen. That’s why we started and we try to honor all the istagrammer-mom will met, but we’ll never forget dads, unties, friends and so on.

 What’s your name and where you come form? 

My name is Allison. I come from Southern California (USA) but I married a British man five years ago and have lived in the UK ever since.

Come ti chiami e dove abiti.

Mi chiamo Allison, sono della California del Sud ma ho sposato un Inglese cinque anni fa e abito in Inghilterra da quel momento.

When did you start with Istagram and can you tell us how much your profile reflect your story?

I started Instagram last January. As it says on my profile, I used to be a painter. I hope I still am…but since becoming a mother, who also works, I struggle to find the space and time for it. Discovering that I could manipulate photos on the iPhone with various editing apps has opened a great creative outlet for me. Like most IG-ers, I’m always on the hunt for photo-treasure–most of the time while pushing a stroller.

Quando hai cominciato ad usare Istagr.am e quanto del tuo profilo rispecchia la tua storia?

Come ho scritto nel mio profilo ho cominciato a Gennaio, prima ero una pittrice. Spero di esserlo ancora…ma da che sono diventata mamma, una mamma che lavora, faccio fatica a trovare lo spazio ed il tempo per dipingere. Il fatto di aver scoperto che potevo manipolare le foto fatte con l’Iphone grazie a varie applicazioni mi ha apeto un nuovo orizzonte creativo. Come molti IG-ers, sono sempre alla ricerca di piccoli tesori fotografici, sempre spingendo un passeggino!

What’s your favourite subject? 

My favorite subject is people. Also I love anything OLD, things that have a past…a hidden story to tell. My stream is pretty mixed up, I admit.

Qual è il tuo soggetto preferito?

La gente, ma amo anche tutto ciò che è vecchio, le cose che hanno un passato…una storia nascosta da raccontare. Il mio stream è piuttosto variegato, lo ammetto.

How’s your approach with traditional photography and iphonography?

Obviously the quality and range of DSLR photos will be better. But for me the iPhone is brilliant. I can shoot discreetly on the go, and play with editing apps…all with one hand. As a mother with an active toddler, this is a revelation! 🙂

 Com’è il tuo atteggiamento con la fotografia fatta con l’Iphone e quella tradizionale?

Ovviamente la qualità e la molteplicità di ottiche (spero di aver inteso bene ndr). Ma per me l’Iphone è davvero intelligente, posso scattare in modo discreto per strada e giocare con le varie applicazioni. Come mamma di “gremlins” ( licenza poetica n.d.r) è stata una rivelazione 🙂

Can you suggest us another istagrammer? Your fav and the one you admire the most.

I have lots of favourites! But one of the first people I followed and whom I still adore is @sionfullana , a NYC street photographer who has a huge heart. He seems to see goodness and potential in every person he captures.  I find his words as moving as his photos.

Puoi suggerirci un altro istagrammer? Il tuo preferito o quello che ammiri di più.

Di favoriti di ho moltissimi! ma una delle prime persone che ho cominciato a seguire e che continuao ad adorare è @sionfullana, uno street photographer di NY con una sensibilità pazzesca. Sembra di vedere degli dei in ogni persona che fotografa e trovo le sue parole tanto toccanti quanto le sue foto. ( E’ vero, andare a dare un’occhiata!)
